PCI was offered the contract to build the new ‘Detroit Fish Market’ if we could commit to constructing the project in 90 days or less. The owner had built a number of Restaurants in the past and was disappointed in the length of construction time by previous contractors. We assured him that we would get the job done on time! His goal was to be open in early December to capitalize on the corporate Christmas parties. It was the end of August already and plans were just sketches. The only way this aggressive schedule could be met was by working very closely with the owner and architect and of course; the use of our in-house team of workers. We self performed the demolition, carpentry, painting, flooring, millwork, Lemon booths, and furniture.   On December 20, 2008 with the paint still wet, the Detroit Fish Market opened for business. The Detroit Fish Market has been one of the real success stories for the city in 2009.
